Kate Hudson in her studio (The Currawong’s Visit)
Kate is a successful and highly regarded reduction lino-cut print maker. The work-wall of her beautiful studio is filled with notes, sketches, works in progress. I felt it important to capture the feel of the studio and in particular her studies for Currawongs in the garden. A work that she struggled with: by including it in her portrait I have highlighted the fact that artists can go through periods of self doubt.
